Firstly, thank you for having a look through my website. I hope that you are able to take something from here, whether you are a practising teacher, pre-service teacher, game developer, or academic. I am always happy to connect so please reach out :)

As mentioned in my 'About' page, I adore teaching - the relationships you develop with your students (school aged or adult!) and being part of their lives during significant periods. I believe that learning should incorporate play. I cannot understand why play is no longer considered an important learning strategy as soon as a student enters high school. If anything, the increase in stress levels, hormone shifts, and the need for high school students to form friendships, provides further evidence of the use of play in high schools.

In an effort to encourage educators to include play, I will be presenting at DigiCon 2025 | ACMI: Your museum of screen culture | ACMI: Your museum of screen culture and my presentation, From Research to Reality, will be discussing:

• The learning and developmental theories supporting digital game use.
